- 1 avocado
- 2 slices sourdough bread or any variety of bread
- 1 clove garlic optional, cut in half (skin on)
- kosher salt and black pepper to taste
- drizzle extra virgin olive oil good quality

Cut the avocado in half and remove the pit.

Scoop out the avocado flesh with a spoon and add it to a medium bowl. Use a fork to mash, leaving some small chunks.

Toast the bread to your liking.

While the toast is still hot, lightly rub the surface with the cut side of the fresh garlic clove (optional).
